Mycoplasma Infections of Genitourinary Tract and Drug Sensitivity Analysis in Kunming 2007~2008

Objective To observe ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu)and mycoplasma hominis(Mh)infections of genitourinary tract and its sensitivity to antibiotics in Kunming downtown.Methods Mycoplasma culture,identification and drug susceptibility kit were applied for the detection of Uu and Mh in genitourinary tract specimens in 186 cases of suspected mycoplasma infection and the sensitivity of it to 12 kinds of antibiotics was determined.Results 79 cases was detected to be positive in mycoplasma and the detectable rate was 42.47%,in which the percentages of Uu,Mh and Uu mixed with Mh infections were 59.87%,8.28% and 31.85% successively.There were 19 cases of males with positive culture and the positive rate was 31.67%(19/60).There were 59 cases of females with positive culture and the rate was 46.83%(59/126).The female culture positive rate was higher apparently than that of male(P0.01).Uu,Mh and Uu mixed with Mh infections were sensitive to minocycline and doxycycline,but tolerable to erythromycin and roxithromycin.Conclusion Minocycline and doxycycline should be the first options for mycoplasma infections in Kunming,rather than erythromycin and roxithromycin.
