Analysis of Detection and Susceptibility for Mycoplasma Strains from Genitourinary Tract Secretion

Objective To investigate the infection status and 10 kinds of drug sensitivity of Ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu) and Mycoplasma hominis(Mh) isolated from genitourinary tract secretion,so as to provide evidence for clinical rational drug use and to take effective control of Mycoplasma infection.Methods The Mycoplasma were cultured,identified and counted its antibiotic susceptibility testes,and the Mycoplasma identification and drug sensitivity results of patients with urogenital tract infection of urethral and cervical secretion were reviewed.Results 276 cases were found positive Mycoplasma among 497 cases,accounting for55.6%of all cases.Among the 276 clinical isolates,194 cases were Ureaplasma urealyticum positive(70.3%),73 cases with Uu and Mh complicated infection positive(26.4%),9 cases with Mh positive(3.2%).The results of drug sensitivity tests showed that the susceptibility of Uu to doxycycline(97.4%),josamycin(96.4%),minocycline(94.8%) and azithromycin(85.1%) were relatively higher and lower to ciprofloxacin and ofloxacin.The susceptibility of Mh to doxycycline,josamycin,minocycline were the most sensitive(sensitivity were all 100%) and lower to azithromycin and roxithromycin.Uu + Mh was only sensitive to doxycycline,josamycin and minocycline,high resistance to roxithromycin,clarithromycin,azithromycin,ciprofloxacin and ofloxacin.Conclusion Mycoplasma infection is mainly due to Uu infection in our hospital.Doxycycline,minocycline and josamycin are the first choices for the treatment of mycoplasmas infection.
