Abstract
This presentation describes the state of the art of computer- aided operation systems for public transportation management. It is based on development performed in the DRIVE Program projects that have dealt with subject areas such as architecture, scheduling and control systems, passenger information aids, and fare systems. Advanced public transportation systems are defined including the different systems and their limits.
