A Primarily Report on Blackflies in Shanxi,China(Diptera:Simuliidae)

Objective:To investigate the basic fauna and geographical distribution of blackflies in Shanxi province.Methods:Immature stages of blackflies were collected from nine different representative areas of Shanxi province.Adults emerged from pupa in the lab.After the identification of slides and needle-fixed specimens,a list of blackfly species in Shanxi and a discussion were given.Result: Nineteen species including six new ones of blackfly from Shanxi of China were reported.Conclusion: There is a rich diversity of blackflies in Shanxi province and it is showed that there is a fauna character of palaearctic realm.
