Function and targeted therapy of interleukin-4 in bronchial asthma

Abstract

The incidence of bronchial asthma (asthma) is increasing year by year, besides, the pathogenesis is very complex. Nowadays, it is believed that imbalance of Th1/Th2 response leading to excessively create of Th2 cells is one of the important pathogenesis. IL-4 produced by Th2 cells play an important role in asthma, understanding IL-4 in asthma may lead to new target to therapy in the future. Key words: Asthma; Interleukin-4; Targeted therapy
