Classification and Statictics of the Ornamental Plant Resources in the Landscape Forest in Baoshi Mountain of Hangzhou West Lake Scenic Area

In order to understand the plantscape in the forests around Hangzhou West Lake,ornamental plant resources in Baoshi Mountain that is located within the scenic area of the lake were classified and statistically analyzed based on the data collected from 37sampling plots.Plantscape can be enjoyed all the seasons in Baoshi Mountain for its richness of the ornamental plant species.A total of 241species of ornamental plants were observed,belonging to 87families and 184genera,in which a total of 187species were ornamental fruit plants,accounting for 54% of the total,94species were ornamental flower plants(27%),and 65species were ornamental leaf species(19%).From the view of life form,trees exhibited the highest ornamental value(129species,accounting for 37%of the total),followed by shrubs(124species,35.8%),herbaceous plants(51species,15%),vine plants(25species,7.2%).
