Study on the Investigation,Exploitation and Utilization of Wild Flower Resources in Tianmen Mountain

The evaluation and analysis of the diversity of species,ornamental characteristics and garden utilization were made based on the results of field investigation and the other' researches in Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park.375 species,253 genera and 108 families of wild flowers with the ornamental value were selected,in which there were 75 perennial species,and 45 flowering bulbs,19 annual or biennial species,17 herb vine species,50 wood vine species,154 wood flowers,and 15 fern species.According to their ornamental characteristics,they were divided into 3 types: flower-ornamental,249 species;fruit-ornamental,89 species and leaf-ornamental,133 species.And according to the landscaping use,they were divided into 6 types: potted-ornamental,182 species;border-ornamental,115 species;ground-ornamental,148 species;climbing-ornamental,71 species;water-ornamental,25 species;bonsai-ornamental,45 species;fenseornamental,57 species and scenery-ornamental,115 species.The suggestions on the protection,development and utilization of these wild flowers were put forward.
