Abstract
[Objective]To investigate the formaldehyde pollution in the air in the house decoration and explore the influence factors. [Methods] Chose a new residential area that was far away from the industrial production and 50 houses which were decorated not more than half year were selected. Use portable meter measured the concentration of indoor formaldehyde. At the same time, the questionnaire was carried out about influence factors among residents living in those housed. [Results] In the 50 houses, different types of rooms had different formaldehyde concentration. Formaldehyde concentration in storage room was significantly higher than that of other rooms (P﹤0.05). Different decoration time had different formaldehyde concentration, and the difference was significant (P﹤0.05). Different ventilation situation of rooms affected the formaldehyde concentration in air: average formaldehyde concentration of regular ventilation was significantly lower than that of occasional ventilation (P﹤0.05). [Conclusion] The formaldehyde pollution in new houses of the residential area is serious, and the main influence factors of indoor formaldehyde concentration include levels of decoration, the time after the decoration and ventilation situation.
