Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical value of the combined examination of serum high-sensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP), cystatin C(Cys C), and β2urine microglobulin(β2-MG) for diagnosing renal damage of patients with gestational diabetes mellitus. Methods: Totally 89 gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM) patients and110 healthy pregnant women in our hospital were analyzed. The serum hs-CRP, Cys C, urea, creatinine, uric acid and urine β2-MG concentrations were measured in each group. Results:Serum hs-CRP, Cys C and urine β2-MG of patients of GDM group were obviously higher than those in the control group(P0.01), while the differences of serum urea, creatinine between the two groups showed no statistical significance(P 0.05). Serum uric acid of GDM group was higher than this in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion:Cys C, hs-CRP, and β2-MG are sensitive indicators for early diagnosing renal damage of patients with GDM. Combined examination can improve the accuracy of the early diagnosis of GDM.
