Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical value of the combined examination of serum high-sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), cystatin C (Cys C), andβ2 urine microglobulin (β2-MG) for diagnosing renal damage of patients with gestational diabetes mellitus. Methods:Totally 89 gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) patients and 110 healthy pregnant women in our hospital were analyzed. The serum hs-CRP, Cys C, urea, creatinine, uric acid and urineβ2-MG concentrations were measured in each group. Results:Serum hs-CRP, Cys C and urineβ2-MG of pa-tients of GDM group were obviously higher than those in the control group ( P 0.05). Serum uric acid of GDM group was high er than this in the control group ( P<0.05). Conclusion:Cys C, hs-CRP, andβ2-MG are sensitive in-dicators for early diagnosing renal damage of patients with GDM. Combined examination can improve the accuracy of the early diagnosis of GDM.
