Abstract
Molecular targeted therapy has advance development. In particular, the molecular targeted drugs for epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)present definite clinical effect. It has shown that the somatic mutation in the tyrosine kinase domain of EGFR gene is associated with the sensitivity of non-small cell lung cancer to tyrosine kinase inhibitor gefitinib. This article reviews biological characteristics of EGFR,EGFR expression in the lung ancer,EGFR gene mutation rate, the relation between EGFR gene mutation and therapeutic effect of EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Key words: Non-small cell lung cancer; Molecular targeted therapy; Epidermal growth factor receptor; Gene mutation
