Abstract

Molecular targeting therapy has become a new approach in the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).The sensitivity of lung cancer to epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors(EGFR-TKIs) has been found to be associated with mutations in the tyrosine kinase domain of EGFR.However, not all mutations are sensitive to gefitinib. In this review,we discuss EGFR mutation and the association with sensitivity and mechanism for the acquired resistance to EGFR-TKIs.
