Abstract

Objective To compare the therapeutic value of endoscopic minimally invasive surgery and conventional open surgery on patients with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps. Methods A total of 210 patients with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps who were hospitalized in the Second Hospital of Datong Coal Mining Group. from January 2016 to December 2017 were selected as research objects. And they were divided into control group and study group according to random number table method, with 105 cases in each group. Patients in study group were given endoscopic minimally invasive surgery, while patients in control group were treated by conventional open surgery. The operation time, blood loss, total effective rate and safety of the two groups were recorded and analyzed. Results The operation time was (57.32±6.24)min in study group and (56.54±6.27)min in control group, while the difference between the two groups was not significant (P>0.05). The blood loss was (22.31±2.33)ml in study group and (60.35±7.78)ml in control group, and the difference was significant between the two groups (P<0.05). The total effective rate of study group (92.38%) was significantly higher than that of control group (76.19%), P<0.05. The incidence of adverse reactions in study group (2.86%) was significantly lower than that in control group (11.43%), P<0.05. Conclusions Endoscopic minimally invasive surgery for chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps has a significant therapeutic effect, which is conducive to improving the prognosis of patients and ensuring their quality of life. Key words: Chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps; Minimally invasive surgery for nasal endoscopy; Application value
