Abstract

Objective: To observe the effect of endoscopic sinus surgery for sinusitis with nasal polyps. Method: 500 cases of sinusitis from May 2003 to May 2012 were selected in the hospital. All patients were randomly divided into two groups according to the treatment sequence number, 100 cases in the control group and the treatment group 400 cases. The indicators between the two groups were compared after treatment, such as the effective rate, complications and so on. Result: The total effective rate of the control group was 88% while the treatment group was 96% after treatment, and the difference between the two groups were statistically significant(P0.05). The average time stay in hospital and symptoms disappear time for clinical treatment of the treatment group were significantly shorter than the control group(P0.05),and adverse drug reactions rate during treatment of the treatment group were no significantly difference with the control group(P0.05). Conclusion: Endoscopic surgery for sinusitis with polyps clinical effect is obvious, which is worthy of promotion and application.
