Abstract
Objective To study the effects of simvastatin on blood pressure in mild hypertensive patients with hyperlipidemia. Methods Fifty-eight mild hypertensive patients with hyperlipidemia received the treatment of simvastatin 20 mg(QN) for 2 years. The changes of blood pressure, blood lipids were measured before and after treatment. Results The blood pressure and lipid were significantly decreased after treatment(P<0.05). Conclusions Simvastatin could obviously decrease the level of blood pressure and lipids in mild hypertensive patients with hyperlipidemia. Key words: Simvastatin; Mild hypertension; Hyperlipidemia
