Effect of simvastatin on blood pressure in mild hypertensive patients with hyperlipidemia

Abstract
Objective To study the effects of simvastatin on blood pressure in mild hypertensive patients with hyperlipidemia. Methods Fifty-eight mild hypertensive patients with hyperlipidemia received the treatment of simvastatin 20 mg(QN) for 2 years. The changes of blood pressure,blood lipids were measured before and after treatment. Results The blood pressure and lipid were significantly decreased after treatment(P<0.05). Conclusions Simvastatin could obviously decrease the level of blood pressure and lipids in mild hypertensive patients with hyperlipidemia.
