Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical significance of proliferation cell nuclear antigen (Ki-67) expression in renal cell carcinoma (RCC).Methods The immunohistochemistry staining method was used to evaluate the expression of Ki-67 in 70 cases of RCC and 30 cases of normal renal tissue as controls. Results The positive expression rate of Ki-67 was 64.29% in RCC.The positive expression rate of Ki-67 in RCC was significantly related to the clinical stage or clinical grade (P < 0.05),but not to the types of RCC (P >0.05).Conclusion Ki-67 is an objective marker to estimate the behaviors of RCC. Key words: Renal cell carcinoma; Proliferation cell nuclear antigen; Biological behavior
