Abstract
Objective To evaluate the elinical effeets of hydroxyapative orbital implant with suture. Methods 85 eases(85 eyes)of enucleation and implantation of hydroxyapatite orbital implant were buserved. Results Follow-up ranged from 12 to 36 months (meanly, 18 months). All patients were suecessfully fit with prostheses. Prosthetic motility was acceptable in eaeh patient. Conjunctiva incision in 82 of 85 cases totally recovered, conjunctival thinning oeeurred in 2 cases and hydroxyopatite implant exposure in 1 case. No complication of bleeding or infection observed. Conclusion The HA with suture implants implanted in orbital space give good cosmetic results with good motility of the artifical eye and is associated with a low rate of complications. Key words: hydroxyopatite ; orbital implantation ; clinical analysis
