Jiaweixuanfudaizhe decoction in preventing and treating digestive tract reaction of chemotherapy for breast cancer: a clinical study on 78 cases

Objective To explore the effect of Jiaweixuanfudaizhe decoction in preventing and treating digestive tract reaction of chemotherapy for breast cancer. Methods A total of 78 patients with breast cancer who underwent chemotherapy were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group, 39 cases in each group.Patients in both groups were given palonosetron, patients in the treatment group were given Jiaweixuanfudaizhe decoction 1 day before chemotherapy, and the effects after 7 continuous doses were compared. Results There were 12 cases did not appear nausea or mild nausea in the control group and 24 cases did not appear nausea or mild nausea in the treatment group, and there was statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01); the antiemetic efficiency in the control group was 35.9%(14/39)and in the treatment group was 61.5%(24/39), and there was statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05). Conclusion The Jiaweixuanfudaizhe decoction can effectively prevent and treat the digestive tract reaction of chemotherapy for breast cancer.
