Therapeutic effects of ulinastatin in the treatment of acute edematous pancreatitis

Objective To observe the effect of ulinastatin in the treatment of acute edematous pancreatitis.Methods Fifty patients with acute edematous pancreatitis were randomly divided into two groups,the treatment group (25 cases)received routine treatment and ulinastatin,the control group (25 cases) were treated by routine methods.The effects of each group were observed after the treatment.Results The effective rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group ( P ＜ 0.05).There were significant differences before and after treatment,as well as between the two groups ( P ＜ 0.05 ).There were significant differences in the changes of the duration of abdominal pain,recovery of serum amylase,recovery time of bowels and hospital stay ( P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusions Ulinastatin has a significant effect on acute edematous pancreatitis.
