Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of ulinastatin in treatment of acute pancreatitis.Method 120 cases of acute pancreatitis patients were randomly divided into treatment group(64 cases) and control group(56 cases). Both of the two groups were given basic treatment. The treatment group plus ulinastatin treatment on the basis o f conventional therapy, the total effective rate and the mortality rate of the two groups were assessed. The changes in serum levels of TNF-α and IL-6 were determined by ELISA.Result Compared to the control group, serum levels of TNF-α and IL-6 on days 7 and 14 were significantly lower in the treatment group(P0.05).The total effective rate of the treatment group was 92.2% was significantly higher than that in the control group(76.8%).The difference of the mortality in two groups was statistically significant(3.1% vs 14.3%,P0.05).Conclusion Ulinastatin are efficient in treatment of acute pancreatitis, especially in treatment of severe acute pancreatitis.
