Abstract

Loop-mediated Isothermal Amplification is a simple, rapid, sensitive and highly specific DNA amplification technique, which has been widely used in clinical diagnosis, identification of embryo sex, and the detection of bacteria, virus and other pathogenic microorganisms. In this paper, we introduce the theory, characteristics and the application of the LAMP. We also discuss the shortcomings of this technology and the broad prospects for its development in the future. Key words: Loop-mediated isothermal amplification; Gene detection; Application
