Abstract

Objective To study the correlation of prealbumin (PA) and C-reactive protein (CRP) with coronary heart disease severity. Methods One hundred and twenty-nine patients underwent coronary angiography were divided into normal control group,CHD group,single-vessel disease group, double vessel disease group, multivessel disease group, the PA and CRP levels were compared among these groups. Results PA level of patients with coronary heart disease was lower than that in the normal control group (P < 0.05),in single-vessel disease group, double vessel disease group, multivessel disease group, serum PA level decreased (P < 0.05) ; CRP level of patients with coronary heart disease was higher than that in the normal control group (P < 0.05),with the increase in the number of coronary lesions, serum CRP levels gradually increased (P < 0.05).Conclusions Serum PA and CRP levels and coronary heart disease severity may have a correlation, they can be used as indicators of the severity of the monitoring of coronary heart disease. Key words: Prealbumin;  C-reactive protein;  Coronary heart disease
