Abstract
Objective: To explore the relationship between C-reactive protein (CRP) level and coronary heart disease (CHD). Methods:The serum C-reactive protein (CRP) levels were tested in 96 cases underwent coronary angiography (CAG). Coronary heart disease was present in 66 patients and absent in 30 cases as normal control group. The CRP level of the two groups and its relationship with CHD were analyzed. Results: The CRP levels in the unstable angina group were significantly higher than those of normal control group and stable angina group (P0. 01 all). In the coronary heart disease group, the CRP level of 2 - vessel-diease group and 3 -vessel-disease group were increased progressively (P0. 01). Conclusion:CRP level is closely associated with heart disease, and may be the predictor factor of patients condition in coronary heart disease.
