Clinical effects of sequential therapy of erythromycin and azithromycin in children with mycoplasma pneumonia

Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical value of sequential treatment of erythromycin and azithromycin in children with mycoplasma pneumonia. Methods A total of 120 children with mycoplasma pneumonia in Anyang People’s Hospital from July 2017 to April 2019 were chosen as object of study.The control group was treated with azithromycin sequential therapy on the basis of routine treatment, while the study group was treated with erythromycin and azithromycin sequential therapy on the basis of routine treatment. The effects and adverse drug reactions of the two groups were recorded. Results After the two groups were treated with different drug regimens, the total clinical effective rate in the study group (95.00%) was higher than that in the control group (78.33%, P 0.05). Conclusions Sequential treatment with erythromycin and azithromycin is effective and safe for children with mycoplasma pneumonia.
