Abstract
Objective To observe erythromycin and azithromycin sequential therapy in children with mycoplasma pneumonia and the adverse reactions. Method The children diagnosed with Mycoplasma pneumonia were randomly divided into azithromycin group,erythromycin group and the joint treatment group(erythromycin,azithromycin sequential therapy) with 30 cases in each group.The clinical efficacy,the cost of treatment and adverse drug reactions were evaluated. Result Comparing the efficacy of three groups there was no significant difference(P 0.05).The time of hospitalization and treatment cost were minimum in the treat ment group,with significant difference(P0.01).The incidence of adverse drug reactions in the treatment group and the azithromycin group was lower than erythromycin group(P0.05).Conclusion The joint treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia can reduce the cost and had less side effects.
