The effects of comprehensive nursing care on anxiety, stress status and satisfaction of emergency surgery patients

Objective To explore the effects of comprehensive nursing care on anxiety, stress status and satisfaction in emergency surgery patients. Methods A total of 240 cases of patients receiving surgical treatment in the hospital from February 2015 to March 2016 were selected as the study subjects, and were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group, 120 cases of each group.The patients in the control group were given routine operating room nursing, and the experimental group was given comprehensive nursing care on the basis of routine care.The anxiety, stress status and satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results With regard to the self-rating depression scale comparison of patients in experimental group and control group 2 hours before surgery, the difference had no statistical significance(P>0.05). After surgery, SAS score of patients in experimental group was significantly lower than it of control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05). With regard to the systolic pressure and diastolic pressure comparison of patients in both groups 2 hours before surgery, the difference had no statistical significance(P>0.05). The systolic pressure and diastolic pressure of patients in experimental group were significantly lower than it of control group, and the difference had statistical significance(P<0.01). The nursing satisfaction of the control group was significantly lower than that in the experimental group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01). Conclusion Comprehensive nursing care in the operating room can help alleviate the anxiety and stress in the operation and improve the patient's satisfaction with nursing.
