Abstract
Objective To explore the application and effect of evidence-based nursing in general surgery. Methods Two hundred and eighty-six patients scheduled for surgery in the Department of General Surgery were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group. Conventional nursing was used in control group, while evidence-based nursing was applied in the observation group. The treatment compliance to nursing service, satisfaction, pain and survival quality were analyzed between the two groups. Results The treatment compliance in the observation group was significantly superior to that in control group, with statistically significant difference (P0.05). The satisfaction of nursing service in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference (P0.05). The pain condition in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference (P0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the total Spizer score between the observation group and the control group before nursing. However, the total Spizer score of the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group after nursing, with sta- tistically significant difference (P0.05). Conclusion Evidence-based nursing can significantly improve patient's emotional state and survival quality, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
