Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of insulin pump on blood glucose control in newly diagnosed patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and the related risk factors. Methods 94 newly diagnosed patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in our hospital from December 2016 to December 2018 were divided into the study group (47 cases) and the control group (47 cases). The patients in the control group were treated with multiple subcutaneous injection with insulin, and the patients in the study group were treated with continuous subcutaneous insulin injection with insulin pump. And the clinical therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups. Patients in the study group were divided into good control group and general control group according to blood glucose control effect. Univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the related risk factors affecting the curative effect of blood glucose control. Results There were no statistically significant differences in the pre-meal blood glucose level and the two-hour postprandial blood glucose level between the two groups before and after the treatment (P>0.05). The pre-meal blood glucose level and the two-hour postprandial blood glucose level of the two groups after the treatment were significantly lower than those before the treatment, with statistically significant differences (P 0.05), while had statistically significant differences in clinical treatment compliance, obesity, glycosylated hemoglobin, insulin dosage, pre-meal blood glucose level, two-hour postprandial blood glucose level (P<0.05). Multivariate regression analysis showed that low compliance, obesity, HbA1c ≥8%, high insulin dosage, high pre-meal blood glucose level, and high two-hour postprandial blood glucose level were risk factors of blood glucose control (P<0.05). Conclusion Insulin pump has good effect in newly diagnosed patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Low compliance, obesity, HbA1c ≥8%, high insulin dosage, high pre-meal blood glucose level, and high two-hour postprandial blood glucose level were risk factors of the efficacy of blood glucose control. Key words: Type 2 diabetes mellitus; Insulin pump; Effect of blood glucose control; Risk factors
