Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effects of insulin pump treatment of the elderly patients with type 2 diabetes. METHOD 50 cases with type 2 diabetes in our hospital were randomly divided into observation group and control group, and the control group was treated with Multiple subcutaneous injections, the observation group was treated with Insulin pump. RESULTS The two groups before treatment fasting blood glucose and 2h postprandial blood glucose showed no significant difference ( P 0.05, see Table 1) , after treatment fasting blood glucose and 2h postprandial blood glucose were significantly decreased (P0.001) , but the observation group decreased more significantly, After treatment, fasting blood glucose and 2 h postprandial blood glucose compared with a significant difference (P0.001-0.05, Table 1) . Blood glucose observed after treatment compliance time for compliance when the dose of insulin treatment 2wk volume when compared with the control group used insulin (P0.001-0.01, Table 2) . A total of 17 cases of sub-groups with mild low blood sugar, of which 5 cases of the observation group and control group in 12 cases. Observation group was significantly less than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P0.05) . CONCLUSION Insulin pump is effective in treatment of the elderly patients with type 2 diabetes, But also relatively safe, which should be suggested in clinical experiences.
