Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of tiotropium bromide combined with seretide in the treatment of COPD patients in stationary period. Methods 104 COPD patients in stationary period were divided into a control group and an observation group, 52 cases for each group. The control group were treated with seretide, and the observation group with seretide and tiotropium bromide. The dyspnea scores, 6MWT (6min walking test) before and after the treatment, blood gas index, pulmonary function index, and acute attack rate and adverse reaction of COPD were compared between these two groups. Results Before the treatment, there were no statistical differences in dyspnea score, 6MWT, blood gas index, and pulmonary function index between the two groups (P>0.05). After the treatment, the improvement of these indexes was significantly better in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.05). The acute attack rate of COPD was significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions In treatment of COPD patients at stationary period, Tiotropium Bromide combined with Seretide can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and lung function and reduce the acute attack rate of COPD, so it has high value of popularization and application. Key words: COPD; Tiotropium Bromide; Seretide; Effect
