Value of pepsinogen (PG) combined with careinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and carbohydrate antigen 724 (CA724) on diagnosis of gastric cancer and peritoneal metastasis

Objective To study the value of pepsinogen (PG),careinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and carbohydrate antigen 724(CA724) on diagnosis of gastric cancer and peritoneal metastasis.Methods From June 2012 to December 2012,40 patients were enrolled into the gastric cancer group,62 patients were enrolled into the benign group and 40 healthy people were enrolled into the control group.Serum CEA,CA724 and PG were detected.Results There were significant differences between the gastric group and the benign group,the control group in CI~,CA724,PG Ⅰ,PG Ⅱ and PG Ⅰ / Ⅱ.There were significant differences between the benign group and the control group in PG Ⅰ and PG Ⅰ / Ⅱ.There were significant differences between the peritoneal metastasis group and the non-peritoneal metastasis group in CEA,CA724,PG Ⅰ and PG Ⅰ / Ⅱ.Conclusions Serum CEA,CA724 and PG play an importment role in the diagnosis of gastric cancer and peritoneal metastasis.
