Abstract

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of combined detection of serum CEA,CA199,CA72-4,PG-Ⅰ and PG-Ⅰ/PG-Ⅱ for gastric carcinoma. Methods 75 patients with gastric carcinoma(group A),75 patients with benign gastric diseases(group B) and 30 healthy individuals(group C) were measured for the levels of serum CEA,CA199,CA72-4,PG-Ⅰ and PG-Ⅰ/PG-Ⅱ,through chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay. The obtained data were compared between the three groups. Results The positive rate and serum levels of five tumor markers(CEA,CA199,CA72-4,PG-Ⅰ and PG-Ⅰ/PG-Ⅱ) in group A were significantly different from those in group B and group C(P0.01).Moreover,the sensitivity of the combined detections of the five tumor markers(85.8%) were significantly higher than that of the respective detection(P0.01).Conclusion The levels of serum CEA,CA199,CA72-4,PG-Ⅰ and PG-Ⅰ/PG-Ⅱ are very valuable in the diagnosis of gastric carcinoma. The combined detection of the five tumor markers can promote the sensitivity for the diagnosis of gastric carcinoma.
