Abstract
Objective:To detect the effects of phacoemulsification and lens implantation for primary acute closure glaucoma (PACG). Methods:17 eyes with PACG and cataract were performed phacoemulsification and lens implantation. The preoperative visual acuity was less than 0.5.Preoperative and postoperative visual acuities, the depth of anterior chamber, the angle of anterior chamber and intraocular pressure of each eye were recorded with following-up ranged from 1 month to 1 year. Results:The IOP in all the eyes was normal, and visual acuity was improved. Conclusions:Phacoemulsification and lens implantation is a valuable method for the treatment of PACG.
