Abstract

AIM To investigate the drug resistance toβ-lactam antibiotics of 1 821 Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria strains so as to guide rational use of clinical drugs in our hospital.METHODS The sensibility toβ-lactam antibiotics of 1 821 bacteria strains which were isolated from January to August in 2010 in our hospital were tested and the drug-resistant rates were aggregate analysed.RESULTS Cefoperazone-sulbactam and piperacillin-tazobactam had good antibacterial activity to most Gram-negative bacteria, especially to the strains of Escherichia coli(drug-resistant rate was 6.2%,3.8%respectively) and K.pneumoniae(drug-resistant rate was 13.6%,9.6%respectively) producing extended spectrumβ-lactamases(ESBLs);methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus,Enterococcus faecium and Staphylococcus haemolyticus were resistant toβ-lactam antibiotics and their drug-resistant rates were all higher than 78%.CONCLUSION The resisitance ofβ-lactam antibiotics is obvious in our hospital, and it is urgent to take valid measure to delay the occurrence of resistant bacteria and control the hospital infection.
