Abstract
【Objective】To study the therapeutic effect of hemorheology and lung function with Montelukast on patients with cough variant asthma (CVA). 【Methods】75 patients with CVA from January 2008 to February 2009 were randomly divided into two groups (Montelukast group and control group). The control group received routine treatment. The Montelukast group received Montelukast and the rountine treatment with rountine drugs. The clinical condition were performed before and after treatment. including lung function, hemorheology, IL-8 and IL-10. 【Results】 The hemorheology and IL-8 in the Montelukast group were significantly decreased than that in the control group after treatment. The levels of IL-10, FEV1% and FEV1/FVC(%) were significantly increased in the Montelukast group as compared with the control group after treatment. The difference have statistical significance. 【Conclusion】 Montelukast have treatment and prophylaxis effective on patients with CVA.
