Abstract
Objective:To research the influence of losartan plus a little amount of dihydrochlorotiazide on serum uric acid in hypertensive patients with hyperuricemia . Methods: Forty-six hypertensive patients with hyperuricemia were randomly divided into three groups: losartan group (n=19) treated with losartan 50mg qd , losartan plus dihydrochlorothiazide group (n=15) treated with losartan 50mg qd plus dihydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg qd , the control group (n=12) treated with benazepril 10mg qd . The serum uric acid of three groups was observed after two weeks. Results: Both of the losartan and the losartan plus dihydrochlorothiazide groups can effectively reduce the serum uric acid (p0.001) and they were no different in reducing uric acid (p0.05). Uric acid of the control group was no obviously different before and the after treatment. Conclusion: Losartan plus dihydrochlorothiazide also have a good effects in reducing uric acid.
