Abstract

[Objective] To investigate the awareness rate of AIDS-related knowledge in different population, so as to provide scientific basis for evaluating the AIDS prevention and control effectiveness and formulating intervention measures.[Methods] By medium-term assessment of public awareness questionnaire, the awareness of different population were investigated, and the data were double input through EpiData3.1 and statistic analysis was conducted by Excel 2003.[Results] The awareness rate of AIDS-related knowledge in urban residents was 84.99%, and was 66.60% in rural residents, and the awareess rate in urban residents was significant higher than that in rural residents(P﹤0.005).The awareness rate in low-age group was significant higher than that in high age group, and only 14.22% of these resident got AIDS-related knowledge from medical workers.[Conclusion] We need to increase the AIDS-related prevention and control knowledge in rural areas and promote VCT.
