Survey On AIDS Knowledge And Attitude Of General Population In Huaiyuan County

Abstract

Objective To learn AIDS related knowledge,attitudes and behavior of the general population in Huaiyuan county,and provide reference for controlling the prevalence of AIDS.Method The cluster sampling method was used and the questionnaire investigation was conducted.Results The awareness rate of AIDS knowledge was 67.80% in urban residents and 59.00% in rural residents,the difference was significant.The score of AIDS knowledge was decreasing with the rise of age,but it was increasing with the rise of educational level.Looked at occupation,the score was the highest in teacher.If your friends were infected with HIV,46.14% of urban residents and 46.67% of rural residents chose to associate with them.Conclusion In Huai-yuan county,the level of AIDS prevention and control knowledge of general population is poorer,especially the rural residents,they have fears and discrimination against people with HIV/AIDS.We should enhance AIDS health education and related behavior intervention among general population.
