Abstract
The overall objectives of the Structures Research Area of the Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP) were to provide methods to protect chloride-contaminated concrete components against deterioration and to rehabilitate and protect those components exhibiting corrosion-induced distress. This paper reviews the development of the research plan, its execution and the products which were developed. The main subject areas included are testing and evaluation methods, cathodic protection, electrochemical removal, non-electrochemical rehabilitation techniques and a decision model for rehabilitating corrosion-damaged, reinforced concrete structures.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
