Abstract
This paper describes a recently developed procedure for use by bridge engineers making protection or rehabilitation decisions for concrete bridges. The methodology determines the most cost-effective treatment, and its timing, for specific components. It is available from SHRP in the form of both a handbook and a computer program. The handbook approach is described in this paper. The work was sponsored as the final in a series of SHRP projects related to concrete deterioration from chloride-induced corrosion of the reinforcing steel.

A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
