Abstract

In the analysis of educational formation, the difficult relation between pedagogy and discipline is a recurrent issue. The concept of discipline is used to designate specific scientific areas such as mathematics, history, biology, etc. In those same analyses the concept of pedagogy is much more difficult to understand. The Report of the Commission on Education Initial Formation (2005) indicates, for example, that the difficulty between theory and practice in al formation has to do, essentially, “with how the educational fact and pedagogy have been understood: as an art, a technique or a science”.
