Abstract
Choosing stems with buds as explants, the authors succeeded in studing the best method for tissue culture and rapid propagation of blackberry. The surface sterilized explants were cultured on the medium MS + Vc 1.0 g/L + Sugar 20 g/L + Agar 10 g/L. MS + 6 - BA 0.2 mg/L + NAA 0.2 mg/L + Sugar 20 g/L + Agar 6 g/L was the optimum medium for proliferation of bud clusters. Shoots were rootded on the medium 1/2MS + IBA 0.2 mg/L + Sugar 20 g/L + Agar 6 g/L and the rate of rooting was 100%. Being acclimatized for 20 days, the rooted plantlets were transplanted to substrata in two successive steps, the survival rates of which were 98% and 100% respectively.
