Abstract

Choosing stems with buds as explants, the authors were succeed in the study of the best method for tissue culture and rapid propagation of Continus coggyria.1/2MS+NAA 1.0 mg/L+6-BA 0.8 mg/L+sugar 25 mg/L+agar 6 mg/L was the optimum medium for proliferation of bud clusters. Shoots were rooted on the medium 1/2MS+IBA 1.5 mg/L+sugar 20 mg/L+agar 6 mg/L and the rate of rooting was 85%. Being acclimatized for 20 days, the rooted plantlets were transplanted to substrate in two successive steps, the survival rates of which were 80%,100% repectively.
