Abstract

Objective To investigate the acute toxicity of 20% acephate-triazophos emulsifiable concentrate(EC)and provide evidence for assessment of toxicological security.Methods According to Toxicological test methods of pesticides for registration(GB15670-1995).acute oral toxicity test,acute dermal toxicity test,acute inhaling toxicity test,acute dermal and eye irritation test and skin sensitisation test were carried out on rats and rabbits respectively.Results The oral LD50 of 20% acephate-triazophos EC was 369mg/kg.BW,the dermal LD50 was 2 000mg/kg.BW and the inhalation LC50 was 2000mg/m3.The mean index of skin irritation on rabbits was 0.The highest index of eye irritation on rabbits was 6 and the mean index of eye irritation(2 days later)was 0.The rate of skin sensitization on guinea pigs was 0.Conclusion The oral toxicity of 20% acephate-triazophos EC was graded as moderate,the dermal and inhalation toxicity were low,the eye irritation was low,the skin irritation was none,and the skin sensitization was feeble.
