Impacts on the Life Quality in the Patients with Advanced Gastric Cancer Treated with Jianpi Fuzheng Decoction

Objective To observe the impacts on life quality in the patients of advanced gastric cancer treated with Jianpi Fuzheng Decoction. Methods Sixty cases of advanced gastric cancer were randomized into a treatment group and a control group,30 cases in each one. The chemotherapy of L- OHP,CF and 5- Fu program( FOLFOX4 program) was used in the two groups. In the treatment group,Jianpi Fuzheng Decoction was added. The treatment for 4 weeks made 1 period and the efficacy was evaluated at the end of 2 periods. After treatment,the clinical efficacy,EORTCQLQ- C30,TCM symptom score,KPS score and adverse reactions were observed after treatment in the two groups. Results The total improvement rates were 86. 7% and 60. 0% in terms of TCM efficacy in the treatment group and the control group respectively( P 0. 05). The differences in EORTCQLQ- C30( emotional function and social function),TCM symptom score and KPS score were significant after treatment between the two groups( P 0. 05). The adverse reactions got worse to different degrees after treatment in the two groups,but the results in the treatment were less than those in the control group,indicating the significant difference( P 0. 05). Conclusion Jianpi Fuzheng Decoction enhances immune function,relieves clinical symptoms and alleviates adverse reactions in the treatment of advanced gastric cancer.
