Observation of Clinical Efficacy of Fuzheng Jianpi Decoction Combined with Chemotherapy in Treatment of Advanced Colorectal Cancer

Objective:To observe the efficacy of Fuzheng Jianpi Decoction in combination with chemotherapy in the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer.Methods:All the 68 advanced colorectal cancer patients were randomly divided into two groups.34 cases were treated by Fuzheng Jianpi Decoction combined with chemotherapy in the treated group and 34 patients in the control group were treated with chemotherapy alone.Results:The total response rates in the treated group and the control group were 32.3% and 26.5% respectively,and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P0.05).The significantly improvement rate of symptoms and the total improvement rate of symptoms were improved apparently in the treated group compared with the control group,indicating statistical significant difference(P0.01).Compared with the control group,the major toxic reactions were alleviated in the treated group,such as anemia,leucopenia,thrombocytopenia and gastrointestinal tract reactions,indicating statistical significant difference(P0.05).The life quality,immunity function had better improvement in the treated group than in the control group(P0.05).Conclusions:Fuzheng Jianpi Decoction can improve patients' condition,reduce the toxic reactions,increase immunity function,and improve the life quality.
