Clinical observation of Butylphthalide capsules combined with Atorvastatin calcium tablets in treatment of patients with vascular dementia

Abstract

Objective: To study clinical effects and safety of Butylphthalide capsules combined with Atorvastatin calcium tablets in patients with vascular dementia. Methods: 102 patients with vascular dementia were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The changes of MMSE and BI scores before and after the treatment were observed. Results: After the treatment,the total effective rate,and MMSE and BI scores of treatment group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusions: Butylphthalide capsules combined with Atorvastatin calcium tablets can effectively improve the cognitive function and activity of daily living of the patients with vascular dementia.
