Clinical effect of butylphthalide soft capsules combined with hyperbaric oxygen in the treatment of vascular dementia

Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of butylphthalide soft capsules combined with hyperbaric oxygen in the treatment of vascular dementia. Methods A total of 80 patients with vascular dementia were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, each of 40 cases. The two groups were all treated with hyperbaric oxy-gen 1 time a day, the treatment group based on the treatment of combined application of butylphthalide soft capsules0.2 g, 3 times a day. Before and 60 days after treatment application scale simple mental state examination(MMSE) and Barthel index score evaluation of curative effect. Results By the end of the course, the total effective number was 34cases in the treatment group, the total effective number was 26 cases in the control group, the differences were statisti-cally significant(P0.05). After treatment, MMSE scores and Barthel index scores were significantly increased. The treatment group increased significantly, with statistically significant difference compared with the control group( P0.05).Conclusion Butylphthalide soft capsule combined with hyperbaric oxygen treatment of patients with vascular dementia could obviously improve intelligence disorder and living ability, security, superior to hyperbaric oxygen alone.
