Abstract

Objective Study the drug-resistance characteristics of super broad-spectrum β-lactamase producing Escherichia coli in urine culture from urinary tract infective patients during 2007 to 2009.Methods Kirby-Bauer agar diffusion method was used to screen primarily, then other tests were adopted to identify ESBLs-producing Escherichia coli and drug-resistant status was analyzed. Results Total positive rate was 26.4%(71/269),including 20.2%(18/89) in 2007,27.6%(21/76) in 2008 and 30.7%(32/104)in 2009.Drug-sensitive test suggested 85% of ESBLs-producing Escherichia coli was resistant to β-lactam antibiotic,100%to Ampicillin,80.2%~85.5%to Aminoglycoside,77.5%to Quinolones,91.5% to TMP-SMZ,81.7%to Aztreonam,8.5%~12.7%to Amoxicillin/clavulanic acid and furantoin,drug-resistant rate of common Escherichia coli to β-lactam antibiotic was only 6.8%.All bacteria were sensitive to Imipenem. Conclusion Furantoin,Imipenem, rythromycin compounds having β-lactamase inhibitor and bacterium-sensitive antibiotics should be administrated to treat urinary tract infection caused by ESBLs.
