Abstract

Objective To investigate the value of ultrasound combined with X-ray mammography in diagnosis of early breast cancer. Methods A retrospective analysis of 74 pathologically confirmed breast cancer cases which had been detected by color Doppler ultrasound and X-ray mammography was performed. Results The accuracy of early breast cancer detection was 85.1%(63/74) by ultrasound, and 89.2%(66/74) by X-ray mammography. There was no significant difference between the two methods. The detection rate of early breast cancer was 98.6%(73/74) by ultrasound combined with X-ray mammography, which was signifiantly hisher than that by ultrasounlor X-ray mamnograply alone(P0.05).Conclusion Ultrasound combined with X-ray mammography can significantly improves the detection of early breast cancer.
